OMSA Valves and Instrumentation (Pty) Ltd have secured the agency for the Dr Leye Gmbh of Germany range of sample conditioning and online water quality analysers. The analysers are specifically aimed at the steam generation industry.

Roger Kuch, Business Development Manager at OMSA said: "The Dr Leye range of analytical measurement equipment is well known throughout Europe and further afield for its quality and exacting measurement standards. It is a range of analysers that can be mixed and matched to suit the requirement. It is ideally suited for power stations but has applications in other sectors. We regard it as a niche product, and we are delighted to have secured the agency for this well established brand".

In May 2006 OMSA Valves and Instrumentation (Pty) Ltd in conjunction with Dr Leye representatives, held seminars targeting the power generation sector as well as the paper, pulp, sugar, chemicals and petroleum industries to showcase to participants the benefits involved in measuring various parameters pertaining to water quality with the Dr Leye range of products. Apart from conductivity, molarity and hardness measurement, novel approaches to the determination of extremely low levels of silica, sodium and magnetite are offered.

Dr Leye analysers are purchased with a view to permanent installation on site. OMSA will supply a full analytical support service for the on-line analysis systems from their headquarters in Randburg.
