Overview Mission Statement OMSA Valves and Instrumentation are committed to offering a total engineering solution, including valves, instrumentation and ancillaries for completion of a system. In all areas of operation, we strive for the highest levels of customer satisfaction and service excellence. History Siegfried Errath, founder of Operational Marketing, identified that there was a need in the South African market for a wider supplier network in the field of industrial valves and instrumentation. The characteristics of certain products required by the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries made them incompatible with the grease-associated robust industrial systems supplied by Operational Marketing. It was therefore as a result of logical expansion and natural progression that OMSA Valves and Instrumentation was established. Both companies are dedicated owner-driven family businesses, with a total combined personnel complement of over one hundred employees manning four departments. Each product is synergistically marketed. OMSA supplies Operational Marketing with certain products and components necessary for the manufacturing of total solution systems required by our customers in their respective fields of operation. In November 2006 Marco Errath was appointed as Marketing Director, having joined the OMSA group of companies in 2000 and having spent the last eight years undergoing training and exposure to the full operational workings of the company via stores, IT, administration, financial, advertising and marketing, and project management. As Marco puts it, "This new position presents great challenges to me professionally. I see the need for the OMSA group to maintain its visibility and manage its branding as a crucial element of my appointment and subsequent focus. It is essential that I provide continuity and support for those technical personnel in order for them to successfully and confidently present the OMSA vision and technological solutions to customers and potential customers. The OMSA group, certainly on the valve side, is in the top five suppliers of valves in South Africa." Managing Director, Mr Siegfried Errath, says "The appointment of Marco as Marketing Director is an important move. The marketing and advertising of the company are extremely important to the growth of our company. Marco will focus on the image development and branding of OMSA as well as oversee the media opportunities. He is surrounded by a team of highly skilled professionals. He is resourceful and will position the group for future growth." In addition, a number of new developments have taken place. Roger Kuch has assumed responsibility for business development and is a chemical engineer by profession. He started with the company in 2004 and makes his contribution through researching new opportunities for both OMSA and Operational Marketing, organising the company's marketing effort, recommending materials of construction to suit our customer's processes and writing technical and financial motivations. Supplementary activities include dealing with industrial relations issues as well as the health and safety function. OMSA has consistently been expanding their process control solutions, with more agencies represented to further enhance their range of valves and instrumentation products. TPS Total Process Solution
